Windows 7: Adding TTS Voices I hate to waste your time, however, I am having trouble. It is used by Narrator, the screen reader program built into the operating system. Third party voices/TTS engines seem to be much larger downloads, but TBH I've never tried any besides the 2 L&H voices for XP that MS provided as free downloads.
I'm unaware of any additional 64-bit voices.
If you install packages of other voices, many will only be available in this window and not in the 64-bit window. Type 'C:WindowsSysWOW64SpeechSpeechUXsapi.cpl' (without quotes) into the search box in the Start menu and press Enter - I see Microsoft Mary and Mike as options here.
